Production blog: Filming and editing
Today we met up tho film. At first we were worried that we weren’t going to be able to because Isabel ended up having practice. Practice didn’t end up taking too long though, so we were able to still meet up. Originally we wanted to meet up at three, but practice didn’t end soon enough for that time.
We got to her house at around 4 o’clock PM but didn’t start right away. We looked over the scenes we already had and how much time they already took up out of the two minutes we needed. We needed to re-shoot three more scenes to complete the film, but we only ended up shooting two. The reason we didn’t film the third scene was because we figured we didn’t really need it. All of the clips we had already put together added up to about a minute and around 45 seconds, and we couldn’t cut from any of the other scenes. So we just worked around the scenes that we already had and changed up the script a bit to fit the gaps.
After filming we took a short break and ordered some food. We decided that we could also do some editing before we all left. We didn’t really do much editing though. All we did was add the missing scenes and edit out parts that had my voice before the scene actually started. At first it seemed like the time wasn’t actually going to make it to two minutes, but then we remembered that we had to include the black screen at the beginning which the bell ringing. We left Isabel‘s house at around 6:30PM. Now we only need a bit more editing before our project is finally done. I am glad that we got to film today because if we didn’t I feel like we would’ve been a bit behind. I am going to add the music on my own, which is really the last part of the editing as well as final touches. That part is easy because I already have the audio for the music saved so I would just have to upload it onto clip champ and cut it down to two minutes.
