Toyota Commercial
This was my first major project, not only for this class but for all of the classes I have ever taken. Through the whole thing, there were a lot of changes that were made. It was a really good experience because I learned how to use different software and apps to get the results that I was most happy with. There are a few things that could use some improvement in this project. However, I feel like the ability to make those qualities better also has to do with the resources that I have. While researching and editing, it was a little difficult to find apps and websites that didn't require payments or subscriptions, so instead of directly searching for apps, I went on youtube and websites that listed free apps that I could use. There were a lot of clips that I mentioned I was going to use From my planning blog all the way to my editing blog. However, when I really started to add final touches to the whole commercial, I felt like there wasn't enough of the car and that seeing people in the commercial wasn't completely necessary. So besides the extra clips that I didn't use from the start, I ended up removing a few more clips and replacing them with ones that were more useful. The editing process was fairly easy despite the constant clip switching. I felt that my final product came close to having what a lot of short car ads usually have, only not nearly as professional. I didn't have a problem uploading my video. I was going to upload the video right when I downloaded it from Clipchamp since they already embed the video for me. However, I wanted to keep it safe by following the instructions on how the teacher recommended to do it. All in all, this was a nice project to do. It gave me a reason to go outside and even take a ride in the car for the first time in a while because of the Pandemic. Even though I don't like projects that take such a long time, I liked that each section was split up for different due dates. Usually, when we just get a rubric and no planning instructions while everything is due on one day, it gets overwhelming. This project has also helped me in terms of creativity. I never would've thought of doing a commercial for a project, but doing so really helped me learn to use what I have.
