Planning Storyboard for my 7 Years Music Video

 


Scene 1:
This first scene will be pretty basic. there is a bit of an instrumental at the beginning of the song so I decided to just add a panel to introduce the song with the name of the song and artist in it. This will be shot in my living room.

Scene 2:
The first line of the song talks about how at seven years old, Lukas was told to go make some friends. so for this scene, my sister will be dressed as the mother while gesturing to my youngest brother to go make friends.

Scene 3:
In this scene, my brother will be thinking about how it would feel to be lonely after hearing what "mom" had to say.

Scene 4:
This scene will show my brother actually trying to find new friends through an online app which I will be putting together.

Scene 5:
For this scene, I decided to take a video of the sky because the line of the song talks about the world being big.

Scene 6:
Then the next line of the song says that they thought they were bigger than the world. so for this scene, I decided to film a shot of someone walking at a low angle. From this angle, the person would look huge compared to everything else.

Scene 7:
At this point in the song, I will switch from my youngest brother to my other brother. in this scene, he will be meeting with my sister and some other friends who will not be shown in the scene. this will be shot outside my house.

Scene 8:
This next scene is mainly a transition to the next line of the song. it'll just show my brother walking up to a gas station door and reaching to go inside. he won't actually go in, it'll just transition to the next scene.

Scene 9:
This scene will take place at my house. it will be my brother picking up a job application flyer for the next lines of the song that talks about how they weren't rich and had to make ends meet.

Scene 10:
This scene will be the official transition to being 11 years old.

Scene 11:
For this scene, my sister will be dressed as the "dad" while gesturing the lines. This scene is for when the dad told the 11-year-old to go get a wife and it will be shot in my living room.

  I started filming this blog on Friday, October 30th, 2020 when my mother and I went out. I figured that since we were taking the car, I could use that chance to film some of the interior features of the car that would be showcased. Because I needed my dad for most of the other shots, I waited till the weekend to continue the filming. That Sunday, on the 31st, I didn't have the chance to go out so I decided to film the 360 view of the car that would be used in the opening of the commercial. I used a long shot to show the entirety of the car exterior. I also filmed the scene that would come after the opening on that day. This scene was of my father putting a few things into the trunk of the car. On Sunday, my dad and I took a trip to the store. Title Research: Glass

Art of the Title The opening sequence shows the production company in charge of the film. It shows the company that works with distributing the movie. Then it shows the title of the film. The film then starts to show the actors playing in the movie. The sequence then starts to name the people who helped cast the film, as well as the director. It showed who was in charge of music, costuming, editing, photography, then the producers.  The opening sequence starts off with a recap. this film is a sequel, so it begins by introducing the main character of the original. Later on, it introduces some of the other characters. It builds the moment by showing background events that lead to the appearance of the next potential main character.  The first clip of the man speaking to the girls can allow us to assume that the man has some sort of psychological disorder. Genre Research: Final Choice

  Out of all three of the genres chosen, we decided to finally go with Drama. The reason for this choice is that a drama is simply more flexible than the others. There are so many aspects to a film that can make it be considered as a drama. On the other hand, Horror and Comedy have a big more restraint. When making a horror film, there has to be some element that “scares” the audience. Whether it is actually scary or not isn’t the point, but whether it creates a chilling atmosphere. It just didn’t really seem to fit into the prompt of our short film. We don’t want the audience to be too distracted by “not getting scared” to the point where they miss the message we are trying to send. Comedy was a little more close than horror, but again, it didn’t seem to match our story. The main purpose of comedic films is to have the audience laughing.
