Music Video Planning Blog
Based on the music videoes that I have watched and my song selection, I will be using my brothers for the filming process. in the song for the time I will be filming for, the artist talks about a seven-year-old and an 11-year-old. I will be using My youngest brother as the seven-year-old for the beginning scene. My other brother will be the "daddy" in the video but his back will be turned to the camera. This would make it so that it's not obvious that he is young. I will be putting my brother in my actual dad's clothing to make it obvious that he is playing the adult.
Then I will switch to my other brother playing the 11-year-old for the last few scenes. In this scene, he will be talking to his "mother" who will be played by my sister. Her back will also be turned to the camera to hide that she isn't actually an adult. However, I might show the side of her face and give her a few accessories to make it easier to tell that she is the mother. Since my mom doesn't really have any obvious adult clothing, my sister will just be wearing one of her own dresses. I will give her my mom's glasses and just get her to seem like a mother figure.
Those two scenes will take place inside of my house. There are a few scenes that I'm going to record outside just to match the lyrics of the song. those will be simple scenes of things like the sky or the neighborhood. There is a line in the song that talks about how they thought they were bigger than the world. For that line, I will be using a low angle to record people walking over the camera.
