 Since the last meetup we haven’t really done much. Most of our work is already done besides minor tweaks. It’s actually refreshing to know that we don’t have to rush I would be too worried about our final product. Isabell and I were actually really happy because of our first meet up date. we didn’t plan on filming all the scenes on the first day to begin with actually. We were just going to film the major scenes and come back for another day. However, Adriana convinced us to shoot all the scenes since we had the time. Because of that, we feel like we already had a huge part of the project off of our shoulders. It was really good that we filmed all the scenes that time because thinking about how we’re always struggling to find another meet up date let me know that it was definitely a good idea to film all the scenes that day. If we didn’t, we would probably be behind in our project. 

We were trying to see if we needed to meet up again after then. At first we thought we wouldn’t have to, because everything is basically done. Though, Isabell came up with a good point as to why we should meet again. She said it will be better if we could probably meet one last time so that we can all look at the film and give any feedback before the deadline. I’ve already edited all the scenes in place. The music was edited in after the last time we met. We did edit a bit at her house but when I got home I just edited the music in to get it out of the way. At first we didn’t think that we would be able to meet anytime this week. Isabel has practice all week and she has some games to go to. Sometimes my mom is busy in the mornings, and in the afternoon around the time we usually meet up. We thought that if we weren’t able to meet up at Isabel‘s house, then we could probably meet up at the school. It wouldn’t give us much time, but we would be able to work during our study hall. Isabell and I were on the phone earlier trying to figure out if it would be possible. I asked my mom if she would be busy on that day. Due to COVID-19 my mom doesn’t really want me going to the school either. Even if I were to be able to go to the school, my mom would be too busy in the morning to drop me off. I couldn’t take the bus either, because I have to be registered as a in school learning student. I wasn’t sure if anyone else that went to my school had the same bus stop as me, and there was no way to find that out without missing my first class and going all the way to my bus stop. After some discussion, we figured that I would be able to go to Isabel‘s house. The meet up wouldn’t be for filming though. We just wanted to meet up so that we can review all of the work that we’ve done and see if there needs to be any changes before this Friday.

  I started filming this blog on Friday, October 30th, 2020 when my mother and I went out. I figured that since we were taking the car, I could use that chance to film some of the interior features of the car that would be showcased. Because I needed my dad for most of the other shots, I waited till the weekend to continue the filming. That Sunday, on the 31st, I didn't have the chance to go out so I decided to film the 360 view of the car that would be used in the opening of the commercial. I used a long shot to show the entirety of the car exterior. I also filmed the scene that would come after the opening on that day. This scene was of my father putting a few things into the trunk of the car. On Sunday, my dad and I took a trip to the store. Title Research: Glass

Art of the Title The opening sequence shows the production company in charge of the film. It shows the company that works with distributing the movie. Then it shows the title of the film. The film then starts to show the actors playing in the movie. The sequence then starts to name the people who helped cast the film, as well as the director. It showed who was in charge of music, costuming, editing, photography, then the producers.  The opening sequence starts off with a recap. this film is a sequel, so it begins by introducing the main character of the original. Later on, it introduces some of the other characters. It builds the moment by showing background events that lead to the appearance of the next potential main character.  The first clip of the man speaking to the girls can allow us to assume that the man has some sort of psychological disorder. Genre Research: Final Choice

  Out of all three of the genres chosen, we decided to finally go with Drama. The reason for this choice is that a drama is simply more flexible than the others. There are so many aspects to a film that can make it be considered as a drama. On the other hand, Horror and Comedy have a big more restraint. When making a horror film, there has to be some element that “scares” the audience. Whether it is actually scary or not isn’t the point, but whether it creates a chilling atmosphere. It just didn’t really seem to fit into the prompt of our short film. We don’t want the audience to be too distracted by “not getting scared” to the point where they miss the message we are trying to send. Comedy was a little more close than horror, but again, it didn’t seem to match our story. The main purpose of comedic films is to have the audience laughing.
