Our Plan

 We plan to film our short film at different locations around the school. The first place we plan to film is on the track. This is where the establishing shot will be and the entire first scene will happen. The next scene will take place in the bully's room, this where the transition to the bully's dream takes place. The bully's dream will occur in the outside hallway of building 5. The final scene will happen in the bus loop. We will begin filming after winter break, January 3, 2022. The day back is an A day so we will try to film during al of our study halls. When filming isn't in process everyone will have on their masks for safety. There will be sanitizer for the cast to use whenever they touch anything. One of the main props will have are the bookbags they have on. Since they are teenagers they will also have their phones. The scene in the hallway will be the first one that we complete because everyone will be in class. As far as costumes, everyone can wear their everyday, casual outfits. The only restriction is for their costumes or outfits to to be school appropriate. If it rains on the days we plan to film the bus loop and track scenes we'll have to reschedule another day to film those two scenes. If in the worst case it rains everyday we are able to film these scenes we will have to change the locations to indoors. The scene where the location is the bully's room will be filmed by the bully and she will send it to us. Since we are filming on different days we will document the exact outfits of the cast members so they can wear those exact outfits on filming days.

  I started filming this blog on Friday, October 30th, 2020 when my mother and I went out. I figured that since we were taking the car, I could use that chance to film some of the interior features of the car that would be showcased. Because I needed my dad for most of the other shots, I waited till the weekend to continue the filming. That Sunday, on the 31st, I didn't have the chance to go out so I decided to film the 360 view of the car that would be used in the opening of the commercial. I used a long shot to show the entirety of the car exterior. I also filmed the scene that would come after the opening on that day. This scene was of my father putting a few things into the trunk of the car. On Sunday, my dad and I took a trip to the store. This was the perfect opportunity to film him getting into and starting the car. Title Research: Glass

Art of the Title The opening sequence shows the production company in charge of the film. It shows the company that works with distributing the movie. Then it shows the title of the film. The film then starts to show the actors playing in the movie. The sequence then starts to name the people who helped cast the film, as well as the director. It showed who was in charge of music, costuming, editing, photography, then the producers.  The opening sequence starts off with a recap. this film is a sequel, so it begins by introducing the main character of the original. Later on, it introduces some of the other characters. It builds the moment by showing background events that lead to the appearance of the next potential main character.  The first clip of the man speaking to the girls can allow us to assume that the man has some sort of psychological disorder. Genre Research: Final Choice

  Out of all three of the genres chosen, we decided to finally go with Drama. The reason for this choice is that a drama is simply more flexible than the others. There are so many aspects to a film that can make it be considered as a drama. On the other hand, Horror and Comedy have a big more restraint. When making a horror film, there has to be some element that “scares” the audience. Whether it is actually scary or not isn’t the point, but whether it creates a chilling atmosphere. It just didn’t really seem to fit into the prompt of our short film. We don’t want the audience to be too distracted by “not getting scared” to the point where they miss the message we are trying to send. Comedy was a little more close than horror, but again, it didn’t seem to match our story. The main purpose of comedic films is to have the audience laughing.
